NAI Europe
In 1999 NAI initiated it's geographic expansion strategy to develop a manufacturing facility in Europe. This strategic initiative intended to provide NAI's customers doing business in Europe the ability to source products locally, thereby reducing costs in distribution; reducing costs and tariffs; minimizing exchange exposure; reducing inventory; shortening lead times and improving customer service.
In September 1999, Natural Alternatives International Europe S.A. ("NAIE") , a wholly-owned subsidiary of NAI, opened its facility in Manno, Switzerland, which is adjacent to the city of Lugano. The new manufacturing facility provides manufacturing capability in encapsulation and tablets, finished goods, packaging, quality control, laboratory testing, warehousing, distribution and administration.
NAIE currently occupies approximately 18,000 square feet in an office and distribution facility and employs approximately 25 associates.
